About Me

I have been working with children, young people and families since 2001, firstly on summer camps in Europe, then as a playworker, then working with schools and local authorities, developing Extended Schools/Services pilot programmes.
During this time I have also led a Bristol-based children’s charity as CEO and worked for Barnardo’s and the Youth Adventure Trust. My freelance business started in 2011, providing play and behaviour training to childcare workers in Wiltshire. Since then I’ve provided adult and community learning services for local authorities, developing online learning offers through the Covid pandemic. I trained as a primary school teacher in 2013/14 and taught across both key stages for 3 years.
I continue to provide training, activity provision, parenting support and play opportunities. Alongside QTS, I also hold a L5 ILM certificate in coaching and mentoring and L5 diploma in project management. I undertake yearly first aid and safeguarding training and hold an enhanced DBS which is registered on the DBS Update Service.
