As a qualified primary school teacher, I support children in both Key Stages 1 and 2 with any aspect of their school work, often focussing on maths, English and ICT skills.

Sessions are child-led, ensuring that the topics covered are responsive and relevant. This often means looking at subjects that children are covering in school, particular methods they haven’t mastered during lessons or homework that they and parents are unsure about. I can also liaise with your child’s teacher to identify priorities for each subject.

Session Information

Sessions are designed to be fun, relaxed, practical and enjoyable, leading to children finding or rekindling their love of learning.

All maths and English curriculum subjects covered from Yr1 - Yr6, including SAT support, solving real-life challenges and calculation methods.

In addition to maths and English, I offer specialist support with music, ICT and phonics, including instrumental lessons for flute, recorder and piano.

Most sessions take place in pupils' homes, however if more convenient, I can deliver sessions at my home in Bath.

You will need paper, pens and pencils. Additional resources could include: scissors, a calculator, highlighter pens, squared paper and a ruler.

I can provide worksheet and send electronic practise test papers or weblinks when relevant.

Play is a great way for children (and adults) to learn and retain information, instilling a desire to engage and re-access learning independently.
